Youth cricket
The committee have a responsibility for 'Duty of Care' for all its junior members. The club will adopt the ECB's Safe Hands Policy for Junior Cricket and have a Child Protection Policy which incorporates the ECB Safe Hands policy. All members will be provided with a copy of the Child Protection Policy and are expected to adhere to the criteria.
The committee are responsible for identifying and employing a suitably qualified Cricket Welfare Officer. The Welfare Officer will be a member of the committee and is responsible for recording and acting upon any complaints or issues connected with the Safe Hands policy / Junior Cricket.
All persons responsible for management / running of junior cricket will be checked by the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) prior to any involvement with the junior membership.
All persons involved in the coaching of junior cricket members will be qualified to a minimum requirement of ECB Level 1.
All volunteers, parents, scorers and ground-staff must complete and return a 'self declaration form to the nominated Cricket Welfare Officer prior to any involvement with the junior membership.

With immediate effect we are adopting the following procedure..
All new players of this age, must provide at the time of registration a letter from their parents agreeing to them playing for their club in the league. This letter is to be authenticated by the club secretary.
Players who have already been registered to play in the league will have their registration cancelled and they will have to be re-registered under the above procedure. In these cases where the date of birth is shown on the website we can de-register the players ourselves. If, however the date of birth is not shown club secretaries are requested to advise us which, if any players need to be de-registered.
All new players of this age have to be extremely talented and will need to have a letter from a level 3 coach together with a letter from their parents (as above) to register with the league.

The youth section is going from strength to strength. There have been some excellent performances along with the hard work of the coaches have been awarded with eight players being invited to join the Warwickshire CC district teams and one into the full county squad.
